OCF can meet nearly any performance requirement by reliably aggregating writes and reads across multiple low-cost storage devices tied together with a common parallel file system, GPFS. Performance can be scaled into the hundreds of gigabytes per second by simply adding the appropriate number of storage modules until the specific speed requirement is met. Should additional performance be required to keep up with an increase demand, additional storage modules can be added without compromising uptime or availability. Storage modules can be added in minutes without downtime occurring and users will see an immediate increase in performance.
