ENCORE AT SCI-TECH DARESBURY
The Science and Technology Facilities Council (STFC) at Sci-Tech Daresbury, recently unveiled a world-leading high-performance computing (HPC) facility for the UK scientific community.
IBM System x iDataPlex dx360 M4 servers powered by Intel® Xeon® processors E5-2670 provide data-intensive computing performance, while a software virtualization layer offers a unique, dynamically-assigned shared-memory capability. This was installed by OCF's experienced engineering team.
We had to get the kit installed by March 31st. The kit arrived early March and OCF came in for one whole week to get it done. OCF were brilliant.
